How to get Whatsapp notifications on Sony Ericsson Liveview

LiveView Custom Notifications Whatsapp
Today I want to introduce you to a small plug-in for Sony Ericsson LiveView.  The LiveView makes it all really worthwhile for me. The plug-in is a “CustomNotifier plugin” and is available free at the Google Play Market, however, cannot be found easily through a normal search. (Unless you are versatile in Chinese.) That is the reason; I recommend you download the plug-in by following this link here. What is the plug-in capable of?
The CustomNotifier plugin, can as the name already implies, display any notifications on the LiveView. More specifically, pretty much every notifications of your Android device can be displayed.
Thus, for example, it is also possible to display notifications from your Whatsapp on the LiveView, without using a special Whatsapp plug-in. Since the configuration of CustomNotifier plug-in is not easy, I […]

How to install and configure Roundcube

how to install roundcubeToday we’ll be talking about installing the webmail client Roundcube on your website or web server. However, before we begin I’d like to say a few words about why a webmail client is a good idea in the first place and why I decided to use Roundcube. If you’re just interested in the installation procedure, you can skip directly to the next paragraph (“Basic requirements”).
Why install a webmail client? I can answer that question only for me and my specific case. I have several email addresses – one is a Gmail address and the others are addresses for my websites and blogs that all have the format @website-name.net.
So when I want to see my emails, I don’t want to open five different websites and three programs. I’d like for everything to be in […]

Wordpress2Doc 1.2.0.0 - All-in-OneToday, there is again a small software update. Since yesterday, namely the new version (1.2..0.0) of my software “WordPress2Doc” is available for download. In addition to a bug fix also two small new features are added.
For those who can not remember what WordPress2Doc is good for ot those who are new in the “code-bude.net”-community, I’ll explain the benefits of Wordpress2Doc in a few words.
With WordPress2Doc you can save any (as well as many) articles and pages of a WordPress blog as a Word document (.docx) and as a PDF file. So with WordPress2Doc you can, for example, back up your blog posts, print and prepare them for other use cases.
What’s new in WordPress2Doc 1.2.0.0
The following things are new in the latest version of WordPress2Doc:

Bugfix: WordPress2Doc can handle and save […]

How to upgrade ram on HP N54L

HP N54L ram upgradeIt is a while now since my first article on my homeserver was published. Nevertheless, I promised that more would follow, and thus now follows the second article in my series on My Home Server. One of the steps to build the Home Server was the extension of the working memory (RAM). By default, the HP N54L comes with 2 or 4 GB of RAM. (Depending on which version of server you ordered.) However, since I want to virtualize more than only one machines to the server, this is somewhat limited. In this article, we extend the RAM of 4 GB (which was installed in my type of server) to 12 GB. However, since the cover of the N54L is very small, […]

How to build a clap switch using Arduino

Arduino KlatschschalterToday, there is again a small Arduino craft project. This time, following the motto: “Soon it will clap, but no applause!” Because when you’ve finished reading the article and clap your hands, then your lamps should switch on and off.
The project originated from the (presumably nerd-specific) “emergency”, in which I found myself for some time and which looked like this: You want to go into the bed at night, but firstly you must turn on the light of the bedroom to be able to find the switch of the bedside lamp. Then you switched on the bedside lamp and run to the bedroom’s door again to turn off the bedroom light. You already notice the bedroom light is really just a means to an end.
As a clever computer scientists and hobbyists, one feels as though their relentless […]
